May Photography Retreat

In May, I had the privilege to be apart of an amazing opportunity, a photography retreat, this was a first for me. I didn't know what to expect, I was nervous, but also excited.

Six local photographers came together for a day to photograph different models. This was for practice and networking. All of the ladies were so wonderful and all had a different style of shooting, which is my favorite part! Even though we were photographing the same model, no one's pictures will look the same.

All of our models were so amazing and so different. It's hard not to share all of the pictures I was able to capture. Here is just a small sneak of the amazingness from that day!

A huge shout out to my friend and fellow photographer, Tara, with Silver Reflections Photography, for organizing this retreat and I can't wait to do more in the future!

A Getaway to Atlanta

During the month of May we decided to do a small weekend getaway with our friends to Atlanta, Georgia.
We stayed at a really nice apartment like hotel for two nights. Went to Six Flags over Georgia and Zoo Atlanta.

It was my first time ever going to Six Flags over Georgia. Being pregnant, there wasn't really much I could ride, but enjoyed getting to see my boys have a good time.

It was also our first time going to Zoo Atlanta and we loved it!

No Atlanta trip is complete without stopping by Sprinkles for some cupcakes!

Even though it was just a short weekend trip, it felt like a full vacation and we had a blast hanging out with our friends in a different place.

A Surprise Mother's Day gift

I love when my clients come back to me for more sessions, it it the best feeling ever. When your clients want to use your images for surprises and gifts, that's an even better feeling. I love being able to capture moments that will last a lifetime.

My friend Holly, who owns an in home day, called me wanting to surprise her daycare mom's for mother's day gifts.

Here are some pictures we took of those precious boys she watches.

Did you know that AS Captured designs and orders prints as well? Here are the prints we came up with for those moms!

Baby #3 Gender Reveal Party

For those of you that have been keeping up with my family know that I am expecting baby #3 this September. To see our announcement, click here.

Back in April we found out what we were having and had a gender reveal picnic in our backyard to tell our family and friends whether we were having a boy or girl.

With already having two boys, almost everyone wanted us to have a girl this time.

The way we did our reveal was with a plastic baseball filled with chalk powder.

Andrew's 3rd Birthday

My oldest baby turned 3 on April 24th! I have no idea where the time went! He has grown so much in the last three years and is so smart!

I thought I would have at least one more year of being able to choose his party theme for him before he wanted to have a say, but boy was I wrong. He was determined to have a PJ Mask themed party. (For those of you that don't know what that is, it's a show on Disney Jr.)

They don't exactly make PJ Mask party things either, I found out. So I had to get creative, colors and super hero stuff. I also made some party masks.

We rented the gym at one of our local parks for the party.

We had a great time and want to thank everyone who came to celebrate my oldest babies 3rd birthday!
