During our trip to California, we took the weekend away from the park and drove down to San Diego. I have family that lives there, so we were able to spend time with them! My dad also flew down for the weekend to spend some time with us too! We spent our first afternoon at the beach. It was Alizabeth's first time at the beach and she loved it. This was also Addison and the boys first time seeing the Pacific Ocean.
The next day we went to the USS Midway Museum. We spend a good amount of time there and didn't even explore all of it. All the kids had a ton of fun looking at all the different "planes on a boat."
Before we headed back to Anaheim, we went to visit the tide pools. This was one thing I remember doing as a kid and always finding it so cool, and I wanted to give my kids a chance to see them while we were there.
We had an absolute blast in San Diego and really loved it there, along with spending time with family. We wish we could have stayed longer than just a weekend. We definitely want to plan another trip out there!
