Snow Day

This winter has been a weird one. 70 degrees in December and we finally got some snow for about a day or two. My boys were begging all day to go outside. So when Daddy got home, we went and played for maybe 10 minutes because it was so cold. We even got the dogs in the fun.

I love to look at the snow, but not much of a fan of being in it. I'm more of a warm weather kind of person, but my kids love it.

Disney Day at the Zoo

As most of you already know, my family are HUGE Disney fans! Any chance we get, we try to go to Disney World, when we can't, we still incorporate Disney some way into our lives. When I found out that our local zoo was having two days of Princesses, I knew I had to take my boys for one of those days! 

We already have a membership to our local zoo, so it was a fun free activities for me to take my boys to during the week. We got to see Tinkerbell, Star Wars characters, including Rey, Rapunzel, Pocahontas, Anna, Elsa, Ariel, and Belle. I packed us some lunch and we had a picnic then went to look at the animals.

We had so much fun this day and I would defiantly take my boys again during the week.

Christmas Day 2015

Many people look forward to Christmas day. The excitement of what Santa left, spending time with family. While December was a hard month for our family in losing someone so close to us (You can check out that blog here) we still wanted to make it great for our kids! This was the first Christmas our oldest son could really comprehend Santa and what Christmas was all about. He loved everything about Christmas, especially Christmas lights.

So here is just a glimpse of some of the joy we were able to experience even though our hearts were hurting.

Christmas Eve 2015

Even though Halloween is my favorite Holiday, Christmas Eve is my favorite for traditions! 

Christmas Eve is a pretty lazy day, watching Christmas movies, building gingerbread houses, baking cookies for Santa, open some presents (PJs and a sibling gift), and read Twas the Night Before Christmas.

(Of course everything we do has to have a little bit of Disney flare to it!)
