Three Generations - Radcliff Family

I know it's been awhile since I've done a blog. Seems like every year I get so caught up in all the holidays and end of the year stuff I get behind on my blogs. But, better late than never, get's me back into the groove of things. So, why not start back up with the last session of 2016?

I met the Radcliff family through a mutual friend and I am so glad I did. This was a multi generational family session. Lynn and Chuck, their two daughters and their husbands, and their kids. With this many people there is never a dull moment. Sawyer was celebrating his second birthday and Alyssa is expecting her third baby!

It was a lot colder than we expected, but everyone was a trooper. Here are some of my favorite moments I got to capture of this lovely family.

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I did. Click here to see more pictures.

Disney World November 2016 Review #2

I know most of my travel blogs are at Disney World, but our last trip we actually spent some time exploring other parts of Orlando.

Disclaimer: I don't claim to be an expert, but I do feel like I have gone enough times to give adequate reviews. Also, these are just my personal opinions from my experiences, so please keep that in mind when reading my reviews. I would always suggest you experience these things for yourself!

We stayed off property at a place called Tropical Palms. This is the 3rd time we've stayed at this resort. They have personal cabins, which are kind of like mobile homes. This worked wonderful for our family as we have young kids and they can be loud at times. We probably won't be staying at this place again as it seems a bit ran down and could probably use a refurbishment, but we couldn't complain for the price.

We only had one park day planned for this trip, our very last day, for the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Unfortunately, our oldest son got sick with a stomach bug and we weren't able to stay, we were lucky enough that Disney refunded us for the party.

Visiting the Disney resorts are a fun free thing to do. Each resort has their own charm and fun things to explore. Another free thing to do while visiting Walt Disney World is visiting Disney Springs (formally known as Downtown Disney). It is full of shops, places to eat, and some Disney fun. To see our pictures of our resort exploring, click here.

We explored some shopping centers like the Florida Mall and the Outlet Mall. The Florida Mall was exciting for me to visit because there was a Carlos Bakery there. I've always wanted to try it and was so excited that we got to. I got a chocolate cannoli and my husband got a cheese cake. They were very yummy and I can't wait to go back and try something new!

My favorite shop I've always wanted to go to was the Character Warehouse located at the outlet mall. We actually went to this place two days in a row! The amount of different items in just a day was crazy, there will always be something new. What exactly is the Character Warehouse? Disney products from all the parks and cruises, but at a huge discount. Makes me not want to purchase anything full price again. I wish I took a picture of everything we got from the Character Warehouse, it was well worth it!

Disney World November 2016 Review #1

This post is going to be about the different dining experiences we did for our November 2016 trip! This was the first time we've been to T-Rex Cafe and Chef Mickey.

Disclaimer: I don't claim to be an expert, but I do feel like I have gone enough times to give adequate reviews. Also, these are just my personal opinions from my experiences, so please keep that in mind when reading my reviews. I would always suggest you experience these things for yourself!

T-Rex Cafe is located in Disney Springs, formally known as Downtown Disney. It is the same concept of Rainforest Cafe, but with Dinosaurs. We went to T-Rex Cafe for a late lunch/early dinner around 4pm. We didn't have a reservation, so we just walked up and only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. We got seated in the underwater area with the aquariums, which was probably a good thing as my kids thought it was a little too scary for them.

Overall the experience was great, the food was good too, but I don't know if we will eat there again. Personally I prefer Rainforest Cafe instead if we were wanting that type of dining. We didn't pay too much, but I would much rather spend the money at another Disney restaurant.

The other dining experience we had this trip was Chef Mickey for breakfast. This was definitely a favorite! We paid out of pocket and while it was a high price, we are paying for the experience. I recommend doing Chef Mickey at least once, but we would only do it again if we were on the dining plan. Chef Mickey is a character buffet at the Contemporary Resort. The buffet had basic breakfast items and lots of yummy pastries. The characters that make an appearance there are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.

We had an amazing experience here. We couldn't have asked for a better table. We had an amazing view of the castle and enough room for our crazy boys to run around without bothering anyone. I do think the characters rushed by each table, but I did noticed they did stay a little longer for tables with kids. One of my boys had to go potty, so he missed Donald, but the cast members were amazing and brought Donald back to our table when he came back! They also do this cute little parade dance every 30 minutes or so. Since we were celebrating our 5th anniversary, your server brought us cupcakes to celebrate!
