Style Shoot Fall 2014

Hello everyone!

I'm so excited to finally be posting this blog! It's our first ever style shoot! These shoots are designed to help local vendors show case their work for all the Brides out there. Whether it is to get ideas for their own wedding or they just want to see these vendors work, style shoots are a great resource for all Brides. Plus, we had a TON of fun!

I'm hoping to do at least one shoot a season, if not more.

For this fall shoot, the theme was red, black, and white.

Enjoy!

Real Weddings: Mitch and Holly

Good evening everyone!

It's time for another real wedding!
I have known this couple ever since before they even started dating, years ago! Actually, if it wasn't for these two, I never would have met my husband!

Holly and I were friends, and Mitch and Addison (my husband) were friends. We all met together at a church camp back in 2008, I think? We've seen this couple through all of the troubled times and milestones. They got married on February 25, 2012. They now have a sweet one year old son, who is friends with my son.

I was honored to be asked to be a bridesmaid to such a close friend. My husband was even Mitch's best man, so needless to say, this couple is very precious to me and my family.

Of course I had to make something for their wedding.
Bridesmaid hair pieces.

Enjoy!

Happy Monday everyone!
I don't think I've ever been so happy to be up and about and working on a Monday! I don't know if it's the time change or the fact that I will be on vacation this week.
The 5th-9th I will be on a much needed vacation with my family. I will still be reachable, but I may not respond right away. (I never truly go away from work)

Which is what our November special is all about. Your wedding party.

Creations by Alison Shane: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Happy Thursday!
It's almost the weekend!

It's that month again. The month that you see pink everywhere. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so of course we created a collection to help in that awareness.

I started this collection last year because my mother in law was diagnoses with stage three inflammatory breast cancer. She is now considered "no evidence of cancer" after a rough year.
So in honor of her struggle, and anyone else who may have been affected by this disease sometime in their life, this collection started.

Since these items are available all year round, it's more like breast cancer awareness all year long. During the month of October, 100% of the money made from this collections sales are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
http://www.bcrfcure.org/
Last year we were able to donate $17 to this organization. I know that might not seem like much, but every little bit can help.

What do we do with the money from sales the rest of  the year, you ask? 100% of the money gets donated too, just in a different way. Creations by Alison Shane chooses one person a year who has been affected by breast cancer and donates to help pay for medical bills.
For the year 2014 the candidate is my mother-in law, Jennifer Galloway.

So here are some items from the Breast Cancer Awareness Collection, "Think Pink"

Bracelets

Flower Clip

Knit Blanket

Adult Headbands

 Brooches

 Bows

 Knit Scarfs

Knit Earwarmers

 Baby Headband

Are you, or do you know someone who has gone through, or is going through breast cancer? Send us an email at creationsbyalisonshane@rocketmail.com with your story to be eligible to be a candidate to receive donations.

Thank you for reading and have a great weekend!

Real Weddings: Alison and Addison

Happy Thursday!
The weekend will be here soon!

So I've done a few blogs now, mainly just to talk about deals that I am having.
I want to also be able to show you some of my items in real weddings!

I will start with the wedding that started it all, my own!
(There will not be a designer fun fact on this blog since the whole blog is one)

My husband and I got married on November 5, 2011 at the Knoxville Zoo!
It couldn't have been any more appropriate (unless it was Disney of course) because we are both big animal lovers.

The colors we chose were red, white, and black.
The theme was, of course, Disney. ;) (I told you I was obsessed)

So here it is, enjoy!

There were a few more items I made, but I don't have any pictures of them.
I made some bobby pins for my bridesmaids and flower girl, a ring pillow, and card box.
